Boat Charters Gold Coast Beachcomber 30 ft (8.8m) Speed Boat
Beachcomber is a versatile Cairns Customs Craft aluminium boat with a cruising speed of 20 knots powered by 2 Honda 135hp outboards. Get aboard for your perfect boat for a private party, fishing trip, island adventure tour, team-building, ash-scattering memorial service or any other event. This boat charters for up to 12 guests in-shore or offshore. Hence, we specialize in taking small or larger groups and couples on a memorable cruise.
Beachcomber also serves as an excellent & versatile ‘Camera Boat’ for film & media shoots on the Gold Coast through to Moreton Bay. Her large carrying capacity, configuration where film crews can be facing the action, as well as roof & bow structure have proven a fantastic platform for rigging camera gear. Combined with our experienced skipper, we’re available to help your production get the perfect shot.
For beach parties, Beachcomber can land on a beach and has a front ladder. We can also do pickup from a beach location. The boat provides shelter from the sun, wind and rain with an extended roof and drop-down marine clears should the weather become inclement while we are out on the water. A marine toilet plus fresh water sink on board makes it easy to enjoy extended days out on the water.
We have a blue tooth connected stereo system on board. You are welcome to bring along your own downloaded playlist for streaming during your day on the water.
On our private cruises, we can tailor the itinerary to your requirement. We can take you to Wave Break Island, Currigee on South Stradbroke Island or as far north as Jumpinpin by special request. Beachcomber has a low enough clearance to be able to clear many bridges, so we are able to motor up the Nerang River for cruises or pickups if required. We can also motor you to spots such as Sanctuary Cove, Couran Cove and Sovereign Island or to go and see the December Christmas lights along the canals at Runaway Bay.
Our skippers will find the safest and most protected spot on the day if you want to stop for a swim, a snorkel, a beach picnic, a game of sandbank cricket or just relax on the aqua lily mat. All the equipment is provided.
Party fun on Beachcomber
Capacity: Can carry up to 12 guests on the Broadwater or off shore.
Private Charter Price: $300 per hour – minimum 3 hour hire
Whale watching Price: $400 per hour – minimum 3 hours
Ash scattering/memorial Price: $400 per hour – minimum 2 hours
Food: BYO or you can request for our catering. For cheese/grazing platters including a glass of Prosecco on arrival, we charge $20 pp.
Drinks: BYO. We supply eskies and ice.
(Our rate includes bottled drinking water and soft drinks to enjoy during your cruise.)
Location: Normal Pickup at 8am from Howard Street Boat Ramp, Runaway Bay. Pickup elsewhere for private cruises can be arranged.
How do I pay?
We will contact you regarding invoice for payment. We ask for a 50% deposit on booking, with full payment 7 days prior to scheduled departure.
(1) Special Fishing Charters
Let our Skipper take you on a Private Fishing Charter of the Gold Coast’s Broadwater so that you have a whole boat to yourself for up to 8 people fishing for 5 hours for $1200, including lunch.
We also have a SHARED Fishing Charter where Individuals can book a spot at $150 per adult, $130 per teenager or $100 per child. Minimum 4 guests to launch up to max of 8 guests.
Fishing the Broadwater is a calm water adventure where we go in search of estuary fish species, targeting fish such as flathead, bream, whiting and others using a variety of proven techniques. This is your chance to try techniques such as ‘lure fishing’ if you have never done this before. We use quality fishing gear with brands such as Sumaki, EcoGear, Z-man, Zerek & Lively Lures. We use lures, soft plastics, vibes and baits, depending on what works best on the day. If the tide allows, we can take our guests yabbie pumping for fresh bait – the kids love this!
A perfect family adventure, the Private Fishing Charter is a great opportunity for children to learn how to fish. Our boat provides ample space to move around, and we even have a toilet on board for the comfort of our guests. Our Skipper, Andreas (who is also a Chef), will fillet any dinner worthy catches on request, and will even give you tips on how best to cook your ‘catch of the day’.

(2) Day Out on the Water Private Lunch Charter
5 hours of private charter including lunch. Price depending on number of people. Eg.
$800 for 2 people
$1400 for 12 people
Food included:
- A glass of ‘Prosecco’ (for 18+ year old guests) on arrival to welcome everyone on board.
- A lunch of gourmet finger foods served platter style such as:
- cucumber medallions with tuna salad;
- open sandwiches with toppings of smoked salmon with creme cheese,
- ham & salami with a cherry tomato on top;
- and prosciutto wrapped melon.
- Complimentary soft drinks & bottled drinking water are provided to all guests.
- Dessert on ‘Beachcomber’ is tea & coffee with a serving of brownies.
Available on request at extra charge:
- Cheese platter
- Glamping style beach picnic setups.
(3) Beach Party at Wavebreak Island.
Suitable for 3 to 36 people, but the more the merrier.
- Price: $300 per hour.
- Pickup in your preferred location eg. Surfers Paradise, SeaWorld etc.
- Beachcomber will take 12 people at a time to Wavebreak (each 1-way trip around 15 mins. Say there are 24 people, then 2 trips needed etc).
- 3 cabanas can be set up on Wavebreak for an extra $300.
- BYO food and drinks, or
- Request catering.

(4) Wavebreak Island Picnic – Pelicans, Prawns & Prosecco!
From $360
Approximately 2.5 hours of private charter including private ‘Pop-up Picnic’ Cabana setup awaiting your arrival.
Itinerary:
- Pick up at Apple Park Jetty (Surfers Paradise) at 1pm
- Board Beachcomber at 3pm to return to Surfers Paradise.
Pop-up Picnic’ for two: A chilled Seafood Feast of large Prawns, Salmon & Oysters as well as champagne flutes to enjoy your complimentary bottle of mid-strength Prosecco (for guests 18+).
Weather Check & Terms
We will contact you the night before – prior to 8pm – if the weather forecast is not looking ideal to discuss options. We use a range of forecasting tools to try and predict what the weather will be doing and to provide you the most notice in the case that we cancel a charter.
1. We reserve the right to cancel or alter the activities at any time before its scheduled availability if it’s not viable for us to operate the service as planned. This could be because of weather, natural disasters, or other external events over which we have no control.
2. If we cancel your activity, you can either transfer the amounts you have paid to another activity or receive a full refund (subject to availability of dates and additional charges for the difference between your original booking and the rescheduled booking).
3. Please note, if we cancel your booked service, we are not liable for any incidental or consequential expenses or losses you may have incurred because of your booking, including, but not limited to, visa, or travel insurance excess. Nor are we liable for any incidental or consequential expenses or loss you may incur because of the cancelation or alteration of the activity/ies, including but not limited to, travel charges or fees for changed travel arrangements.
4. If you wish to cancel your booking, we require written notification of the cancellation. Please note that:
a. If you cancel more than seven (7) before the booking date, we will refund the service fees less any administrative fees.
b. If you cancel between seven (7) or less days before the booking date, you may:
(i) forfeit your payment; or
(ii) reschedule the booking for another date within 12 months of the booking date (subject to availability of dates and additional charges for the difference between your original booking and the rescheduled booking and subject to additional administrative fees).
